Mini escallonia repotted

Today I was set up to both repot and photograph. This mini escallonia was the last job of the day. I happened to have a very fine "signature" pot available and I thought the pot and tree made a good match. What do you think?
Height from pot rim is 8 inches, which puts it into the shohin class.

Nice little tree and great pot choice. How long have you had the tree?

If memory serves(?), I acquired this as a 5 gallon nursery shrub about 12 years ago. About 6 years ago,I started reducing the foliage and root mass, until I finally worked it down to this size. This is a fairly small pot, and I'll have to watch it carefully.

Mike, you have some very very impressive trees, i particularly like the rots of this, they go well with the whole image.

Very Nice
