Melbournes North-west Bonsai Club Spring Show

The North-west Bonsai Club had their spring show this week end. I went saturday morning, arriving bright and early to see a queue of people over one hundred metres long. While in the queue, a conversation started between a few of us and one of the comments was about this great forum on the internet called BonsaiTalk. I replied that yes I'm a member there too to which Stephenr came out with, fozz?!!!!!.

Its amazing how bonsai brings all sorts of folks together. Stephen and I chatted on and off for over an hour and a half whilst I was at the show. I introduced myself to Davidn who is the president of North-west. A big thankyou must go to him and the rest of the club for a very warm welcome to all that attended the show.

The quality of the trees, like the Victorian show, was extremely good and the trading/stock tables were full of things to buy. Tim Vivoda and his partner Jane, of A to Z Bonsai starters up at Monbulk, had a large number of their advanced starter plants for people to choose from which complimented the large selection of bonsai for sale. Stephen had a grin from ear to ear from a great pine he picked up.

Anyway heres a few pics from the show, hope you enjoy them.

Nice pics

Hi Ross.

Thanks for posting the pics....would have loved to have gone and see it all for myself...too bad it was so far away. But it is always nice to see what people in Oz are producing. I especially like the landscape one with the mudmen and horses, etc.

Thank you again for posting more pics to look at

Mick
