Mame Unknown Species
Found this lil guy in the yard. 1 3/4 inches tall. Need to get him a smaller pot,but i think the space kinda works for the movement of the tree for now.

Zen:
Yes the little guy seems lost in that pot, but he could use the room to grow his roots as he works on his "upper body strength." Movement is nice. How are those plants I sent you? pootsie |

It looks like it could be a European Ash to me. Does the leaf stay that small?

A close up shot of the leaf would make it easier to identify. My first thought was ash as i have quite a few which are similar to this one, similar trunk movement and colouration. Then a closer look at the leaf leads me to think it could be a hawthorne, but i can't be positive as the side on view aint that great.

Thanks you guys fro the comments.Pootsie, the ficuses and orange jasmines are doing great in the bay window of the new place, with the exception of the smaller ficus which after wiring seems very tired and losing some gloss to the leaves. Pruanball the leaves get quite a great deal larger, they are very basically fern shaped and they close up and together at night. I will try to get another shot for ya Alasdair but the thing is so small and the cam only will get so close before the image clarity degrades too much. And yes the "Running" feature is kind of what I was going for. My wife says it looks like an ostrich, and so it's name will be "Running Ostrich". Thanks again for the replies ya'll. Z
