So far I kept all the branches, because I don't know which direction to go with this one.

I agree; broom style seems to be the best way to go here. But I could also see this tree situated a little more like the traditional pyramid structure that we so often see in bonsai. Great specimen, by the way!

A small variation on Marie's - a 15 degree tilt.
