I really like the new shape for the tree compared to the old one. There is so much more interest in the tree now with the shape you are attempting.
Anyway here are a few more pots for you to consider.

I don't really like the oval pots but thought I would show them anyway. I do like this one.

Hello :

Really nice tree, and good job you did with it.

I'd go for the one in post #3.

Regards, José

I'd vote for the oval - I think a little darker than the one shown. A straight-sided container like the last one is more appropriate for a formal upright tree. This one is informal with a natural habit, so the rounded container suits it.

The pot shown second to last is not a bad choice, I personally don't like that strong horizontal bead, which I find a distraction for this tree.

Regards,

Matt

Matt,
I thought oval pots were for more of a feminine type tree. I may be wrong, Maybe this tree is . I thought that maybe a rectangle pot would give this tree a stronger appearance. Looking at the oval virsus the rectangle it just seems that the rectangle gives this tree a more masculine look. I am trying to convey an old oak tree look I guess.
