grampz Behr Appleby Join Date: Aug-2003 Location: Kyle Tx Country: USA USDA Zone: 8 AHS Heat Zone: 10 Posts: 946	Firstly Matt, congrats on a job well done...nice tree, isn't it amazing what improvements some of those 'lesser known' bonsai techniques can make, if one has the ability to see the tree within...I happen to agree with BonsaiMon about your choice of pot...the color, size, and shape compliment this tree very well, without competeing with it for the viewers attention...It also appears that the pot depth is about equal to the trunk diameter at the soil line...[a consideration, if my memory serves me correctly]... dbz12fan indicated this tree looked feminine...I don't see that...In fact what I see is a very masculine forearm and hand, holding a bundle of foilage...the branch you had wired is the thumb...The great nebari and your design definately give the appearance of age...Yes I can get somewhat lost just looking at it...
