Lodgepole Pine
This Lodgepole Pine, Pinus contorta was collected in Colorado, USA in 1996. It is 50 cm high and 95 cm long, about 300 years old, pot by William Vlaanderen. It was styled by mylself in May 2000 at the maj0or German Convention.

Sorry for answering so late. I was on a three-week tour through the American Souteast.
Yes, this is the tree which is in the JAL-100 No, the pot is not natural, it is made by William Vlaanderen from Holland. The material is his secrete. It was looking a bit too new and shiny when I got it. I painted it with a strong delution of lime sulphur and it looks like very old and natural now. The pot broke in the meanwhile when I went to the Gingko Award in September to exhibit the tree there. This is a very nice specimen, my only problem is the needles close to the pot, just my opinion and not saying its bad, it just l0ooks funny (no offense meant).
