Question Literati-Styling where do I go from here?

I am looking for some honest advise and sugestions as to where to go with this tree.
I am a bit stumped and waiting for some inspiration.
To make this in to a showable literati, it needs to become much lighter (visually). It feels a bit top heavy, but I am not sure how to proceed.
I have attached some possible fronts that I have considered and I am ready for all suggestions.
NB I have retouched the pictures to remove the guy wires as they have a lot of visual weight and detract from the true picture. (picture withthe wires in the next post)

Many thanks in advance

Mike

This is my quandry

The movement of the tree should follow the yellow arrows in the picture. How do I alter the apex to fit in with this movement?

A virt using the first two branches,an 12-18 months of growing time,a shari up the trunk may complete the picture

Will, you beat me to it.
I think that lower left branch has to go. Also it look like the apex is curving towards the back. Very hard to tell. In any case you should just work with the branches left.

Hi Mike, I was leaning towards Lees' version with the stub jinned apex and going along with Will on the lower branch. So i would be left with the one branch to develop. Kind Regards Ash

Hi Mike,

In virt A you see my thoughts, which are:

- create a new top (yellow arrow)
- cut of old top (red line)
- pull up the first branch on the left, to create the caracter branch (brown arrow)
- make the second branch on the left, you back branch.

In virt B I tried to show it, I'm not so good as other in virts though, sorry

cheers Wessel

The collar is padding where the guy wires are attached.

Nice virt by the way, that certainly gives the "lightness" I was after and improves the overall balance. Definitly one to consider.

A very bad virt.
Just trying this idea, and now thinking you shouldn't do what I was thinking.
But for reference, here's my bad idea
