Leggy Juniper

This three trunk juniper is a little over 30" tall. I originally planned to put it one of the gardens I have going, but now am toying with some virtuals of my own that suggest perhaps a bonsai pot may be its future place.

It may not be everyones (or anyones) choice for material, but I find this one interesting.

Would you put it in the garden or try your luck in a pot? Good thing is.....It can always go in the garden.

I would appreciate comments pro or con, virtuals if ya think it may be worth it.....

Thanks much

Paul

I like this tree. This is a really bad virtual but i personally think it has potencial as a bunjin style wanker. The big arrow points to a trunk i might be inclined to leave out altogether and the little arrow and the "still healthy" was supposed to read " still healthy? " cause it dont look so good (the branch) in the second pic.

Ive got to agree with Jules. Probably the most common mistake that is made with junipers is trying to keep long limbs. The best thing to do is to cut all of the long limbs off and regrow your tree from inner growth as Juels has suggested.

I think you could do this right now. Pretty close anyway. Keep the apex over the root mass, prune alot away. Less is more here.

Good vert this literati looks very doable. I like having the two photos side by side it makes it easier to see which limbs you are using. I have to say That I did not see the literati in this tree.
