That is quite an interesting project you have completed.... I am not much for the Procumbens, since I have lost a few by styling and root pruning in the same year. I hope you have better luck....

I have used a product called Minwood hardener on Tanuki's. It does seem to slow the decay.

Here's a Fukien Tea seedling grown from seed in a small piece of grape vine. This is the back so you can see the actual trunk .

Take a look at posts 19 & 20 in this thread.

The juniper was unable to stand the stress placed upon it by heavily pruning both the roots and the foliage. It might well have survived one or the other but not both at once. All a learning experience...

I think I may have mentioned in this post about styling and root pruning at the same time is usually fatal to Junipers...

I killed three until I figured it out and then read about it! A little thick sometimes....>
