Yes, I am in Michigan where you can experience all four seasons to the fullest. Sometimes in the same day.

Look around your town at the gardens, chances are Hostas are growing everywhere. I like the miniatures that have become more popular lately, they don't take up much space and there are many shapes and sizes to choose from. Hostas like a shadier location and they dislike wind. They also multiply quickly and can be split up in the early spring. This one is called "Medusa" because of it's wavy snake like foliage.

I should mention that this Hosta is 5 inches tall from the bottom of the pot to the tallest flower spike.

In this one, yes. I have since added some feather moss around the base, next year it should grow enough to hang down some over the pot edge.

I am trying my hand at some plantings that contain three species of plants and I am tiering them according to tradition.

Old Mister Crow's art has been very inspirational, his accents and Kusamono are some of the best I have ever seen. Without his efforts on this front, I would most likely never have attempted any. Thanks Carl.
