You are correct, it does look disheveled. But it is my understanding that Needle Junipers grow like weeds once they get going and it should not be long before it starts to take form.

Hi Vance,

yes it looks a bit scary but as the demonstrator did the pruning of all the trees I hope that he knows what he is doing. He seemed to feel that it had a lot of buds so I am keeping my fingers crossed here though I do feel a bit aprehensive...

Hi,

I just wondered.... the shari of my tree was reduced in size during our workshop and the teacher M. Rehmann said that it didn't need any treatment with lime sulphur (or lemon juice which he apparently uses too...)

Someone else now told me that he thought I really should treat it and I wondered whether you could give me any hints as I am rather confused by the contradictory information now...
