I'm new to this, but to me the tree looks good the way it is. You could thin it out on the right side in the last picture. It looks like it has a very good root system

I'm having a hard time figuring out the nebari shot, but it looks like from photo 4 these could well be two separate trees.

I think if you turn JPEG compression on you could easily make these photographs twice as large on the page.

Very nice material!

Matt

Can a tree like this be split in order to make two trees, or is this only ocomplished via layer.

Hey clay, to each, his or her own but this is really interesting material.

I think it has some really nice movement, its just hard to see in these pics becuase they are so small. Very hard to do a virtual as you cant get any detail.

I have done 2 very quick virtuals (5 mins) but with a bigger picture taken at a better angle.....

Levon, if you havent been struck by what to do with it yet, try to just pinch and thin the foliage a bit to hopefully get some inner growth moving, you will have more choices then. give it 6 months or so if you can wait that long and study the tree, seek other advice but only chop when you are 100% happy with your decision. I have rushed in and ruined more trees that i care to talk about

hope these ideas help you with whatever direction you end up taking
