Juniper - Two For The Price of One

I thought I would post a thread similiar to one I posted last year, sort of an update if you will, and for those who have joined BTalk since then and haven't seen it.

The first pic shows a very large procumbens juniper that I purchased on Labor day weekend 2003. The red circle shows a second tree potted in the rear of the main one. I'm not sure if someone just stuck in there or what, because there were wire marks on the very top branch of the tree. I purchased this juniper mainly for the large one, and if I could get anything from that second one, I would consider myself lucky. The second pic shows what I was finally able to get from that second one, with quite a struggle because the roots were all entwined with the larger one. I was finally able to seperate the two, but the smaller one was hurting for a lack of roots because of the seperation.

After finishing the repotting recently, I can happily say that all is well, and the the root system on the smaller one is coming alond quite nicely. Thought I would post an update to let you see the result of dilligent pinching and fertilizing on both.
