bonsaiTALK Hint: Did you know you can double click any bonsai term on this page for its definition?

Juniper Training

I've had this Juniper growing in the ground for about 10 years and would welcome comments, particularly any suggestions with virtual images.
I've recently planted it in a 16inch x 12inch pot working towards a slanting jin style.

The tree stands at 24 inch above the soil and has a 2inch trunk diameter at the base.

ps anyone who has visited the rest site will see that I've been having trouble getting to grips with image resizing, so I hope this turns out

Frank, this advise is coming from a novice.. so take it for what it is worth. I like your tree and my thoughts are just that..thoughts!

I think the Jin is to overpowering, I have tried to reduce it. I also feel the tree is taller than it wants to be, I tried to reduce that also.

I think the jin looks fine in the context of a tree that has to fill out much much more. Look to the future.

More food for thought...

Eventual shortening and pad development
