back after a long time

here's my juniper after a few days work. most of the work was carving the lower trunk to get the tree texture to show.
also started styling the branches.

tell me what you think

Well, I'll be honest. I like the carving but the shape of the tree looks unnatural and not very appealing to me. If it were mine, I'd jin the main branch and so some serious carving and use the right hand upright as my new leader. However, I'm not sure that you've left enough foliage on either branch to make this successful. Perhaps someone else has the ability to see beyond what I am able to see.

i cut out about 3-4 small branches from the entire tree, so there were'nt that many to start with, but i appreciate your comments.
