hi buzzy usually i dont feel qualified enough to offer styling advice but my son has a juniper that used to look a lot like that and we stuck that little guy in a cascade pot and wired down the main trunk and the long branch to the right got wired up in the air
this one is far from finished but i'm sure you get the idea
regards simon

Can you check for me whether the rocks are glued onto the soil. I am worried that this is a mallsai. If not then that is good.

From your image Simon suggestion is very good.

The tree looks young enough to attempt many different styles. You could even wire the trunk up to make an informal upright. That is one of the good things about these junipers.

no the rocks arnt glued to the soil just placed on top to try to keep the soil a bit moister? i am open to design type as i think semi cascade and informal both would look good, but i only know a little bit so have to be told or shown how to do those sort of thing but im a fast learner and keen as to learn.

I will show you a sequence of pics with you tree of what I would do to get an informal upright out of this. I know that this could also be a semi cascade which I will try next. But here is a sequence that would hopefully show you the approach to get an informal upright.

First picture is basically the trunk being wired up with heavy wire and as you can see the folage is to one side.

Next photo shows a subtle difference in that I have given the trunk more movement. You might want to bend the trunk more depending on your preference.

With wire you rearrange branches to this kind of shapes. Branches should come from the outside point of curves and not the inside (hope I did this!!!!). This is a basic structure of what your tree could look like if you just wired it into position and then left it like that and pinch and trim the branches to achieve the folage pads.
