John Thompson at Sei Boku Bonsai Kai

Wednesday, April 26th was the monthly meeting of Sei Boku Bonsai Kai of San Mateo, CA. It was the 23rd anniversary of the founding of the club, and we celebrated by having John Thompson of San Jose as our demonstrator,
John, or "JT" as he is known in the bonsai community is an experienced and accomplished bonsaiist. One of his area's of expertise is collected California oaks, which was the subject of his lecture-demo.
John is very knowledgable, and an excellent speaker, and was well received by the audience.
The oak he worked on was collected by him, and was raffled at the end of the meeting. One member left very happy, as shown in image 3.

G'day Mike,

Tho' the tree looks very interesting, it's a great pity that there isn't a pic of the tree standing alone....or is there one available?

If yep, would really like to see that one.

Regards,
Nigel
