heya anttal.....

im guessing thats a nursery stock...

funny thing is ive got something very simillar to what you bought...

but the sad thing is.....these trees are Trunk chopped... and theres a hell of an UGLY chop at the top that will be very hard to blend it....and the little thing branches on something that size will take over 10 - 20 years to blend in.

and the other thing i find is.....since this was chopped down ...it has left to grow uncontrollably and branches were just growing left right & centre.
its kinda hard to choose...

ill show ya a before and after shot, most of the branches of mine were not worth keeping...and may as well be cut to pass the energy on to other parts of the tree...

and i worked on this tree too soon, as it was the beginning of autumn...it needed most of its branches and leaves to cope through the dormacy period....so theres still some branches on there that will need to go

the sad thing is, this is gonna take a long time...
5 years to start keeping shape.....and probably will be something decent looking after 10 years...

eeiko sometimes you need to read properly, in my jbp thread i stated that i got these trees off a club member not nursery. my tree is nothing like yours no huge trunk chops and thick well commenced branches . the trunk has sexy curves and tapers wait till she's naked. ps in future refrain yourself from putting that inferior material in my threads; i didnt ask to see it. go put it in the ground instead.

Was there not a thread recently about hidden meanings getting lost in a text only medium like this and causing offence?

Anttal sorry for the post Hijack but....

Eiiko
I suggest you repost into another new thread and get some comments there.

All large stock is trunk chopped, that is how we develop taper and yes it is a very long process.
I would be considering Trunk choppin yours even lower and regrowing the top completely.
Will elaborate more in another thread if you make one.

Ken
