Japanese Maple Styling Help

I need help with this tree. I have numerous Bonsai that I maintain. This is my first pre-bonsai and I need a little help on what to eliminate and what to keep to get it started. Thanks for an imput on this.

I would go a little bit more than Sosori

I would lose the Top section completely and work with the left branch as my apex and rebuld from there.
The only problem is that by doing this it makes the Trunk straight from just below my cut so some movement will be needed in this section

I am being conservative suggesting to cut where I have shown. I would suggest maybe to cut at the lower branch and Anntal suggested, But I would like to see the tree first in person to get a real good feel for it before I did.

looking at it again i think i'd rather use the left branch as a new leader, nice exit point especially if it will bend and twist clockwise to the right (long soft curve).
