Japanese Holly

Before and after pictures of my holly styled at one of my bonsai club meetings in early July. Just starting to see new buds sprout all over. Plant started at 3 1/2 feet now 11 inches.

Hey Brian.

THis is one of the better trees I have seen you post. Good job on finding movement in the trunk. The only things I would do here is bring the apex back left just a little bit and add some movement to the branches. I see they are wired, but some are wired straight. give them some up and down, side to side movement.

Nice start, glad to see your skills are coming along.....

Jason

Hi Jason the low right branch is about as thick as your pinky and with a set of wires on it as strong as I am could only bend it a little. The last time I tried to bend it I cracked it so I put it back to hold the wound together. I think the tree when I plant it will be tiped up straight and to the left. The pic as you see it is leaning way forward I will take some new pics and have them up tonight for you to see.
