Japanese garden juniper
Attached is one of my Japanese Garden junipers. This was styled last year and now it's just a matter of pinching and patience. I think it'll be nice once it fills in. Time will tell!

I think I would start by removing the stone and reducing the tree so that the apex ends up back over the rootbase. Unless it is a cascade or a slant style, the crown should be over the roots.
Next a rough round bunjin or drum pot would be good. Regards, Matt
