J Maple 'Kamagata' front choice

I'm trying to decide on the proper front for this maple. I'd be pleased to get opinions.

Thanks
Brian

for me it has to be either the first one or the last one.
Number 2 has a branch coming straight out towards the viewer, not good.
I'm leaning towards number 1

Mmmm, nebari ...

It may be somewhat non-traditional, but I kinda like the "peek-a-boo" effect of the smaller trunk coming out from behind in #3.

As for eye-poking branches, there should be no trouble in taking them off and starting from scratch with branches, right?

I'm thinking something half way between #3 and #4. Maybe.

Should we assume that you want to keep the smaller trunk as well? If not, you may want to change the planting angle.

Attila,

I was planning on keeping both trunks, but am open to thinking about alternatives. I'm also a little bothered by the lack of taper in the main trunk. I could take it down to the first major branch, and use that branch as the new leader.
