Identity Wanted For Possible White Cedar
I am unsure of its correct identity. I am thinking it is Thuja o. but dont know for sure.
I got this at my club hq. for a price I could not beat. For an Abe Lincoln, I got this scrubby little plant with a beautiful base. It is a whopping 15 inches tall. Base is 3.5 inches. It is a little sparce in the foliage department at the moment, but new growth is coming in, so I think the transplant to this mica pot a few weeks ago went ok. This is the base with some new growth. Can someone positively I.D. this one for me? Thanks in advance. Comments are also welcomed.

some other views
another full shot....a little change in the front. As it progresses, I will probably use this front. After styling it, it made sense to change it a few degrees from the front of the pot.
I also jinned the main trunk at top, and am going to use the stubby branch on the upper right as the new apex. I will also carve the deadwood, and detail wire in the future after (hopefully) the foliage fills in. Thanks all for input and ID. Paul

paul,
It certainly appears to be thuga occidentalis . I have a number in my collection . I love to collect them . They take well to pot culture. You can call them eastern white cedar (actually a misnomer) or arbovitae. The foliage is sometimes a pain fert. well when it recovers from transplanting and pinch, pinch, pinch. Regards, Jonathan
