Wow! Tim.. ya did good... me, not having much hands on experience with collecting pines , hoped someone would come to your rescue. Matt was great!
the tree looks promisingand i enjoyed the hot metal pipe to put holes in the tub.. thanks for the lesson.

I woldn't remove more than half the foliage either. If the roots are still viable, the tree needs a certain amount of top growth to pull
water up. The tree will find it's equibrium by it's self next Spring, it just needs a little stress relief now.

The pine has many branches , and i sees hardly something. But perhaps the drawing helps.

Thanks to everyone for your help.
Matt, Again I really appretiate the advice. This is why I like this forum - so many folks willing to share their knowledge. Well, Now all I have to do is wait to see if it lives. Time will tell in the spring for now I have taken all your advice. Now I believe I should leave it alone. Its funny how just some lead from a more experienced person leads to the discovery yourself. By that I meant not "seeing" the tree within the tree until one or two small branches were removed Then BAM I was getting it. Thanks Again Tim |
