Asus, I would say no to trunk chop now as it is getting on towards colder weather. Better I think to wait until mid October to do it. I have done it at this time and had good results but there may be someone out there who can give you the all clear. By now most of them have finished flowering and are going to fruit and my worry for you would be that if you chop now, you may weaken the tree and set it back for the coming spring.
