Hostas As Accent Plants.

Here are photos of a couple of accent plants i have just potted up. They are both from the one nursery plant divided into two. I think they are a good idea for accents as the original plant cost £4 and i had the pots in the shed already. What do you think?

I think they make nice accent plants. Placed with the right tree, it could enhance the scene.

Hi,

I think they're beautiful, and would be great as accentplants !
Have you ever taken a look at the website of Wolfgang Putz ?

Miyagi,

Nice accent plantings. I particularly like the first one. What size are they? Can't tell from the photos.

Regards,

The main part of the plant is about 3.5 inches and the tallest flower spike is about 8 inches.

Here is one of my accents (the only accent that I consider good enough to show). It is a Dwarf Variegated bamboo. It's been it the current pot for 2.5 years now, filling in nicely I think. It is quite large for an accent, from the bottom of pot to tip of bamboo is nearly 5 inches.

Regards,

Forgot to say the stones will probably come out next spring. I think they make it too fussy.

I like the stone, perhaps it needs a taller stone so as the bamboo spreads you can still see it sticking out above the stems.
