Hinoki False Cypress

I got this hinoki False Cypress at the store. It was actrually a return because it had alot of orange this year. The garden centre took out the orange foliage and put this tree for sale. 20$ .

I jumped on it. Now I potted it.

nice camay.i would like to see more movement in the trunk.here's a quick virtual. sorry for the low quality, i can't get photoshop to run. The right pad should be bent towards the ground. The center lower pad should be bent towards left, the right upper pad should be bent to a horizontal position and the apex brought towards the left and lower

Hi Camay,

The planting angle looked great in Post #2. What made you decide to change it?

It's reasonable to expect that the main trunk would be basically upright and the supporting trunks (branches really) would emerge at angles.

I think I would replant it at the original angle.

Regards,

Matt

Hi Matt,

Yes. I only saw this side of the tree once I have taken the picture and look at it on my computer. My original idea was like it is potted right now. But I think, ill do it like post #2. It's beautiful.

Thanks D3rutat, I also like your styling. Dont worry about the quality, I get the idea.
