The High Mugo

This tree is 130 cm high. It will be a challenge to tame it within the next days.

It looks a little like a crane! (the bird, not the machine). Some interesting possibilities here...

Nah, not an ostrich... it's a movie prop.

(Apologies to Walter, I guess no one can figure out what to do with this mugo...)

Regards,

TB

Gosh TB,
That movie prop suggestion is right on! Did LOTR or Walter lift it? The similarity is remarkable!

PS: I'm sure Walter will create something wonderful from it , He has a better vision than most. I love his Mugo's, keep them coming Mr. Pall there are great inspiration!

Karl, the virtual king from Vienna, Austria thinks that this should be the outcome.

Hi Walter,

I quite like the virtual done by Karl, but personaly i feel the jin is to long at the top and detracts from the rest of the tree, perhaps if it were a little shorter it would be more in keeping. Alternativley the folige could be brought higher than in the virtual, allowing the interesting part at the top of the jin to be retained.

Jonny.

HI again,

Looking at the normal picture again i do have one other thought, but unfortunatley i don't have facilities to do a virtual, i'll do my best to describe it.

You could jin off and shari the trunk up the left hand side (as we look at it), jinning off the stub that is sticking out and shari'ing down from there, you could then either jin the branch at the left and use the main branch on the right, bringing it down to the right to create the main foliage mass or (and i don't no if this will work can't tell from the photo) bring the other branch on the left round to the right as well but at the back to create a second foliage mass and more depth.

I hope you understand what i mean.

Anyway just a thought.

Jonny.

Karl from Vienna has narrowed the foliage down (very nicely), I wondered what it would look like widened out and filled in. I realise it is not advisable or standard practice to style a pine in the style of a broom... but with the long tall jin poking out the top it looks not bad or do I kid myself...

Regards,

TB
