Hibiscus syriacus
Also known as Rose of Sharon... I like trying unusual things for bonsai. (Wish I still had a pic of my han-kengai Solanum tuberosum!)
Anyway, here is an attempt at a broom style. It doesn't like to ramify easily, and gets a bit leggy to allow flowers. |

How interesting. I just got 5 free from a catalog when I ordered some other trees. Mine are growing nicely and its nice to see what they will look like. I have 3 in growing boxes and 2 as shrubs. Yours looks nice. When mine are more than 2 sticks I'll post pictures. Thank you for sharing.
