Help with my redwood!

I have this redwood, and can't decide what to do with it, so I thought I'd ask you guys. Whaddya think?

Trunk chop as you go, and it'll thicken up and taper nicely. While there are exceptions to every rule, redwoods tend to make better large-size bonsai because of their large and unruly foliage. __________________ In love with trees

Posts: 523	If you want a bonsai now, I would cut it down by about a third, then wire and trim the branches into a formal bonsai. The branches would have to shortened quite a bit. Otherwise, let it grow awhile. Looks very healthy and I also hope you foot is healing well! Earl

juliet-of-oz Learning Every Day Join Date: Apr-2002 Posts: 241	hi jack i agree with the posts above - let it grow some to thicken the trunk. maybe some sacrifice branches low and keep it trimed a bit on top so that it doesnt get away from you. i know nothing about these redwoods so id get advice from the experts good luck with it - nice tree cheers juliet
