Golden Gate Ficus

I grew this one from a cutting.....6 years in large nursery containers and 6 months in this pot....I think it's time to start working seriously on it.Any suggestions and/or virtuals are welcomed and appreciated.

thanks,

andy

Go Banyan style. Nice wide low angle canopy. Hopefully someone will do a virtual.

Hy agraham,

I have produced you two versions once.

The number 1:
With different levels

The number 2:
With strong treetop
This version will call on some time, until this
so, one can shape.

I like the #2 virtual as well. I think that style suits the tree nicely!

Did it put out arial roots because it was in the large growing pot? Or is the trick humidity? I have heard both techniques.

hey guys..

thanks for the virtuals and comments

Jagua,

this variety is very prolific with aireal roots....requirements?

heat,humidity,shade.....i just let them go and grow, planted in a half empty 15 gal. container...the walls of the container above the soil line keep in the humidity and shade the lower part of the trunk and branches......down here, the heat is naturally provided
