Hi Levon,

What a great little tree!! I like the pot, I think it complimants the flowers nicely. In the past year I have been keeping my eyes open for a forsythia. They grow like weeds here in NW Oregon, now I just need to find the right one...

I really like yours... very cool tree!!

Jason

Levon,
I concur with redpine...at first glance i didnt think it was the right pot choice...but after looking at it better I really can appreciate that pot (which by itself is beautiful).

I guess this could classify as a semi-cascade, hence the pot would be very suitable for this tree...

I think its great!

humbly submitted

Absolutely lovely! Springtime flowers, joy joy joy!

I think the pot works very well.

It may work a bit better, even, if the first branch were just a few cm.s longer. I just did a VERY hasty virt to sketch it out. What do you think?

Yes, you're right. It needs some reshaping... And if I want to have many flowers, I need to do this every year. There will only be flowers on branches of one year old.

I love forsythia (and any flowering bonsai)!

I think it looks OK as is, especially if it were allowed to cascade a bit more as in picture A, below. I think a slightly shallower pot would complement it better if it stays more upright. (B)
