Great Sage,

Wonderful material - I wish I could find flowering plums of that size! I've been looking for years. Since I haven't found anything, I don't have enough experience with this species to make useful styling suggestions.

Best wishes,
Carl

Starting with post 3 or 4, when it has finished blooming, you could cut the upright extension of the trunk and tilt it over to the left about 15 degrees. Leav some of the low sprouts on the trunk for interest.

P.S. Carl, I think Muranaka bonsai nursery was growing some from time to time. They're in Nipomo, CA, but you might call them, because they ship.

Regards,

Matt

Springtime already!
And here I thought it was almost autumn

I think Matt is suggesting something like this pix. So curious about the roots, though. Hmmmm, what's under that soil?

Its a big big world Poots. I think the "Great Sage" might be in another time zone or alternate reality or sumptin.

Great flowers Ben, You must be so proud! Good advice from Matt as usual. that approach give you some movement and taper. Judicious pruning early in the grow season will give you an abundant show in the next spring. We will love to see the development of this one!!
