flowering apricot

this is another one of mine. It was field grown just a year ago before it got placed in the pot i was wondering what to do with it? I have started working on it and i have jinned the apex and created a new apex. I already also jinned the third branch on the main trunk that was pointing towards the back (hard to see). I will have to take some new pictures. I am hoping to see what you come up with.
Thanks

Re: flowering apricot

It's a little hard to understand why the main trunk would tilt off to the right like that to accommodate an upright center trunk that hadn't formed yet.

What would it look like if you turned the pot counterclockwise about 25 degrees and tipped the pot to the left about 15 degrees so the main trunk is more upright? Then the third trunk would probably be cut back severely or removed entirely if it came too far forward.

P.S. The camera is fine and the lighting is great. It's just the backdrop is busy.

Re: flowering apricot

Hi there

Im no expert...but here goes...

I would sit the tree more upright but try to keep all 3 trunks if possible. If you sit the tree more upright, the branches on the right hand side of the main trunk would need to be dropped a bit (easier said than done..i know). Also, there seems to be a fairly thick branch close to the apex, id get that out of there before it thickens the top too much. Just some ideas...I love your tree oh and your azalea too...

the virtual below was done quickly and is small i know sorry
