Ficus Salicifolia

This large cutting was taken a little over a year ago. I plan to give the tree its first styling at a meeting this Sunday.

The cell phone is there for scale. I believe it is four inches tall.

Another side. Yes, the tree did have a small attack of borers in the bottom left hand corner. They are gone and luckily they did not girdle the tree.

Apologies on the poor pictures. The after ones will be much better.

There was not much lower branching on this tree, so it does not look like much now. What I have done is removed all of the apicacal growth to allow for lower backbuds. I used a sawzall to chop the taper, but I have not done a cleanup on the taper chop yet. The top of the tree will be covered with foliage, so you will not see the chop anyways.

Tom,
I took photos of the base, but they all were blurry. I will take more photos when I get a chance.
