Ficus Restyling

i have decided to restyle this ficus after seeing a few potential styles this past week when i removed all the leaves that have burnt off. no need to worry 'bout the leaves, it is already budding all over and, as you can see in the pic, one of the buds already broke. i wanted to post the pics of this tree and what i have chosen as the best option i saw, however; i am going to wait and see if any of you see something that i didn't that i may like better for this one.

using the back as the new front i am left with this, and would then train over the next couple of years to become either a dragon style or semi cascade,

24 plus hours later and not a reply, so i went with the idea that i have posted here. lets hope for the best!! by the way, kept the top 5 inches and used some rooting hormone on it, hope that works too.

Chris,
It looks like you have chosen the correct way to go. I would suggest making a semi cascade out of it.

I have done this with a ligustrum sinensis before. Here is the pic (as of several months ago)-

Hi Chris.. you chose the best line in this ficus. Reverse taper was the worst element you illiminated. Sparse branching wasn't helping this tree either. Good move.. great decision. Will enjoy seeing this later in the summer.

Perhaps it's already too late, but you would have another good tree from the blue cut up (even though the air layer could complicate things below)
