Ficus In Progress

This is a tree i've had for a number of years. At one time it was much more of an upright in a deeper pot. This spring, after a few years of neglect i decided that it would look much better in a more "banyan" spreading style....still a ways to go ....but i'm starting to see something in it.....thanks for letting me share

Too bad the leaves could not reduce to this size.

Thanks Andy and Kevin. With a combination of the gimp and photosuite, I am able to make a reasonable virtual. I am trying to catch up with Uwe, but I do not think that it will be any time soon. I can easily make a reasonable virtual with a black background, but it becomes much harder when they are not black.

Hy Charles,

Very beautiful Virtual

it is more difficult a tree to produce on black background,
as with effects in the background.
The effects distract from the actual tree
and one doesn't recognize the small mistakes, what the quality, so
the Virtuals represents.
On your Virtual, the effect of the background is too strong, the tree
stand in the center no longer.
The colors are also changed by it. What I in this case
unfortunate finds.

Try to show the tree without this background once however.
You will see, it is much heavier, the tree then as real as
, to let possibly appear.

best regards

Uwe

I need to get my sunglasses Charles to look at your virtual. Ha ha!

Andy, I see a promising future ahead in this one. The only advice I can offer is to do what you do and let time do the rest.

I'm still wondering when you'll make it to one of the meetings. I know you're a ways away but the MARCO INVERNIZZI workshop and demo would probably be worth the trip in late September. I think all the info is in the newsletter. Anyway, I'll send you an email.

Andy,

Very nice needle leaf ficus you have there. I, too, see a lot of potential as it develops. I am curious about its dimensions.

Great work.
