Ficus Nerifolia In Leaf

i'm not sure that i don't like this tree better when defoliated http://pictures.bonsaitalk.com/showphoto.php?photo=1625

i'm considering putting it in a show....which do y'all prefer?

I prefer it defoliated. It looks great both ways, though.

IMO, this would look better in an unglazed pot. Most people seem to like tropicals in glazed pots. I believe it was Treebeard who said that a glazed pot is better left off as a cooking dish (in his thread about one of his lonicera natida that was posted several months back). I am starting to agree with that opinion more and more as time goes on.

Andy,

This is one fine looking tree, with or without leaves...I prefer the leafless appearance with this pot color, which by the way I do like, you seem to have developed a non-standard style 'banyan' canopy on this tree, and therefore a non-standard pot color just seems to suit it well...

Beautiful tree either way...the choice is still yours...
