The real one has reverse taper. It is so bad, I don't think it could be corrected short of layer the tree above the reversal.
While your virtual is nice, it should maybe be in area 51, and not in the show and tell, unless it is a virtual suggesting a course of action for a tree posted here. The virtual should also be achievable with the real tree.

The two layer choices I came up with. The first virtual shows a flat layer giving even taper and this picture shows the slight bend that is not as apparent in the second virtual.
