Fall Burn Baby Burn

Well I know fall is here when the burning bush (euyonomus compacta) light up in red.

It's not a great photo (too much falling snow) nor a great tree (yet) but the colors are wonderful so I couldn't resist.

I'm fairly new to this stuff and extremely new to this forum, although I do recognize some of the familiar names from the other forum.

be nice...

Greetings... and Welcome. Where in Northeast PA are you? I'm in Warwick NY and go to the GSBS in Morrisville NJ for meetings. I recognize your name for the IBC. Good to see ya here. Your Euyonomus looks real nice, it sure should enjoy the view of the lake!

Thanks Jay...I'm just outside the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area. Our Bonsai society meets close by so I'm lucky to not have to travel too much. Yes I am also on the IBC, mostly reading and checking out the pictures.

Thanks...we all enjoy the view of the lake although I think the trees enjoy the humidity of the lake more than the view.

I wasn't sure which "other forum" you were talking about until you said "be nice..."

the colors are overpowering and gives a fall focus. Again, I wish I had some more deciduous success this time of year -- only gingkos seem to work

It's nice that they go dormant and give me a few months off to work on the indoor boys.....

Welcome
Nice tree!! You know, it's funny I never noticed just how many of these are growing in peoples yards until this fall. They seem to be everywhere! I can't wait to get me a little one in a pot my sister has a long row of them beside her house.. Wonder if she'll notice just one missing??
