Thumbs up A day trip for the hubby!

Well folks the day arrived Hubby turned 60....
So in Celebration I took him to Pflugerville Texas....
Pflugerville is outside of Austin (bumper to bumper traffic),good thing I was the driver for this trip!
The only thing available in Pflugerville is a Great Bonsai Place called MBP...
Well we all know I carry my camera everywhere and am always taking pics.
So with that in mind I will share the day in pics...
Sit back and enjoy!
Irene

Whew, OK I am tired now....

MBP is a importer of trees.
I snagged Candy Hanson and Hubby snagged Mike Hanson and we both had any and every question we asked answered. We both enjoyed our day trip up there.
If any of you go there tell them you heard about it at Bonsai Talk and that I did upload a few of the many pics I took!

Happy birthday Irene's hubby!

What a sweet wife you are to take him to Mike and Candy's shop!

So... what did y'all get

I love their place but I don't get up there very often. We South Austinites try to avoid going north of the river unless we have to .

Looks like a great nursery...

Mike's a man after me own heart...or to state it more politically correct Candy's a woman after me own heart...

They carry DyanGro prodects!

Very nice trees, too.

Pat

Nice pictures there Irene,
MBP was one of the first nurseries I went to outside of DFW in my early days. He was also the place where I bought my first high dollar tree, My ch. elm that I have posted on page five on my website. There you can see what it looked like from day one. I haven't up dated the page in a while to show the most recent style on it.

Mike and Candy do have a lot invested there but it's one of the top bonsai nurseries that I've been to. Their blk pines, especially the shohin are really good stuff, and the prices for that kind of material is pretty good also.

It's been a few years since I was last down there and need to think about going hopefully some time soon.
