Cryptomeria Japonica Elegans

I thought i would post a picture of one of my trees for critique by anyone, something i'm guilty of is not posting my own stuff often enough! The tree is shown from the front below and then i will post from the back, left hand and right hand sides as well. It is a fairly big and wide tree being 69-70cm tall and 79-80cm wide. It goes A bright red colour in Winter, through to light green in spring/early summer and is currently in its dark green colour of late summer/early/mid autumn. (I think i have a picture of it in winter some where if people are interested).

Questions, comments, critiscms, virts etc.. welcome. Cheers Jonny.

Forgot to mention that I plan to carve the exposed area of dead wood at some point this winter and there are a few stubs that will make nice jins. Cheers Jonny.

Hi Charles, thanks for the virts. I like both ideas but no 2 i don't think is possible as there is a lack of right branch placement. No 1 is interesting but the straightness of the trunk i don't think helps when exposed like this, perhaps if i jinned off some of the branches on the way up it may decrease the effect of this straightness. I'll try to post a virt of what this could look like 2moro if i get chance. But now to bed with me!

Cheers Jonny.

I don't know why, but the straitness in the trunk in my first virt doesn't really bother me.

Here is my idea for your tree. I too have a cryptomeria and they tend to have strong growth towards the top with heavy branches which is what I can see here.

I would starighten the tree and remove the top heavy branches that grow side ways and keep the small middle trunk. Here is the virtual.
