Ron,

thank you for giving me what I've been looking for, a experianced point of view.

By holding some fingers on my monitor over the branches you suggested to remove, I can see what you seen and I have to agree. Funny how I never noticed that the barberry would look much better without that vertical branch, that's exactly what I like about this forum...the other eyes.

Thanks again for taking the time to give some needed advice,

Will

Silly thought here.
It can be a bit hard to help when one does not know where the recipient of that help wants to go.
If I might make a suggestion. Post your tree by all means. But also post a picture of what you think it should look like in say, 5 years.. Give us an idea of where you want to go and most of us will try to help you to get there. Sometimes we might tell you that you can't get there from where you are but, not all that often ;o)

You mean I have to know where I'm going? LOL, h*ll most times I can barely tell where I'm at.

Thanks Ron, as you can see I pruned and wired both of these in the general direction I was heading for, then instead of doing what I usually do...weeks of staring, looking, adjusting, and then staring again... I decided to ask advice of this forum and see if a experienced eye could see what I could not. You did, thanks again and for the advice on posting also.
