Corky Bark Elm

This is my Corky Bark Elm that I reduced down from a 6 foot tree. At the same time I reduced the root mass by about 50%. As soon as spring comes around, I will root prune again and get it into a training pot. The tree is about 5 inches across at the base. As an added bonus, I got about 20 good root segments that I have planted in a big polystyrene box. As always, any feedback is much appreciated. :-)

That looks pretty good so far! I can already see a general outline of your final design. I wish I had stuff like this to work on!
I think I would let new growth settle in for a while, obviously, you want the tree to produce good and tight growth. I would not let it grow too wild. Long and springy growth is not always the best to work with. But keeping it in some sort of general shape will help force the tree to "compact" it's growth.
Good luck!
