Cork Bark Pine for WBC
Corkbark pine, comments and questions. It's about 60 years old, acquired from Johnny Uchida (Grove Way) about 4 yeas ago. Submitted for exhibit at WBC show in DC. Thanks to Bart Thomas for taking the pictures.
Third picture shows new planting angle tree repotted last month. PS anybody going to DC have an accent that might work as the azalea I was planning on using is "out of coat", as we used to say with show dogs.

fantastic bark on that pine, with a very fitting common name! is that a hollow/sabamiki about halfway up? looks awesome! enjoy DC.
