Collecting A ?

I found this growing along a local railroad track. I took a bad shot of the trunk because it actually has some sharp movement right at the base and the nebari at the soil line looks promising.

But, I have no idea what it is. Any thoughts?

I will likely need to collect it soon as well since this part of the track is sprayed with ground clear yearly during mid-summer.

(And I've got some growing wild on my property.) I've seen this species around here, but am sorry to say I'm not sure of its identity.
