Collected Wild Oak - Help.
Greetings,
I collected this tree on 01.03.2004. The tree is 42" in height and 6" in diameter. I live in zone 7b. At this point I am hoping the tree lives. I lost most of the tap root, however there are small roots radiating from the base of the tree. The tree has buds at the apex ad the terminal ends of some branches. I am requesting care ideas for the next few months as spring approaches. I hope to create an informal upright tree, but I don't know now. The trunk seems long and bare, but has very interesting bark. I have posted images in the general forum and will post the tree in this forum for design ideas (with timetable) and care ideas over the next few months. Please refer to my postin the general forum for additional images. I would greatly appreciate some advice and will provide any additional infrmation when requested. As always thank you for your time and patience. Please advise. V. |
