i believe its a lodge pole pine.
He is ready for styiling. THis is probably the back of the tree, but it is the only picture i have of it.

btw,
its base is 4 inches wide,
5ft tall.

If this is as large as it seems to be, (~5 ft tall) it would make a really excellent garden tree in a container or in the ground.

I'm afraid that reducing the height would make it just a so-so bonsai, and lose all the grace in that trunkline.

I have already put one hug bend near the base of the tree iwth the help of my partner in crime. I will take a picture of it shortly. I am probably going to make it a bunjing. I really wanted to make it a very drastic informal upright but the treee sure had limitations. (shown here)
