Collected Liquid Amber

I think this angel or something close to it has the best base flare. The base does not flare as nicely on the other side. My first thought was to use the longest branch which is growing upward as the new leader, but now i'm thinking about carving out and hollowing the trunk. some more abstract type ideas. Any comments, sugestions greatly appriciated.
Thanks

ive seen these trees chopped back even harder
like close to the ground, but to get it looking decent apparently takes up to 15 years to look nice

unless that vertical branch can be made to suit a twin trunk tree?

Hi yenling,

I would consider something like this attached image. I have rotated the tree and removed a lot of wood and branches. It would still need a lot of growing out but starting off with a bulbous base like the one in my virt will really give the tree character. It also gives you a good leader.

nice stump yen, i ilke your idea of hollowing out and carving taper to the top of that trunk and grow branches off it. spooky style could be cool. carving only in winter and a little every year not all at once. think about it and plan it very carefully. have fun.
